Mumbai: Buying spree in High ticket residential aparments.

here are some latest buying of high ticket residential aparments in Mumbai city posh locations:

Celebrity Rajkummar Rao buys apartment in Mumbai's Juhu area for Rs 44 Crore.

Rajkummar Rao has made a purchase of a new property in Mumbai's plush locality Juhu. The actor shelled out Rs 44 crore for the deal. Interestingly, the triplex flat earlier belonged to Rajkummar's Roohi co-star Janhvi Kapoor who made the purchase in 2020. This is one of the most expensive deals for a property purchase in recent times. 

The flat purchased by Rajkummar is on the 14th, 15th and 16th floors of one of the buildings in Juhu-Vile Parle Development Scheme. It is spread over 3,456 sq ft as per documents accessed by SquareFeatIndia.com and offers the new owners 6 parking slots. The deal between Janhvi and Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa was finalised on March 31, 2022 but it was registered on July 21, 2022, as per the documents.

Janhvi Kapoor makes a profit off her Juhu apartment, when Janhvi purchased the Juhu property back in 2020, she splurged Rs 39 crore on it. Now, as Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa bought it from her, the deal was finalised at Rs 43.87 crore. The profit made by the former owner is pegged at over Rs 4 crore. Additionally, Rajkummar paid Rs 2.19 crore as stamp duty. Janhvi paid a stamp duty of Rs 78 lakh two years ago. The reason for this difference in stamp duty is on account of the 3 per cent concession offered by the state government to home buyers between September 2020 to December 2020 to boost construction in the city. 

Ranveer Singh's massive purchase of Rs 119 crore quadruplex

The news on Rajkummar's purchase of the new property comes in after Ranveer Singh's massive deal worth Rs 119 crore for a quadruplex in Bandra. Ranveer's apartment, nearby Shah Rukh Khan's residence Mannat, is reportedly spread across the 16th 17th, 18th, and 19th floors of the residential tower Sagar Resham. The premium property has a total of 11,266 sq ft of carpet area and a 1,300 sq ft exclusive terrace. In 2021, Ranveer and his wife Deepika Padukone purchased a bungalow in Alibaug for Rs 22 crore. 

Toppr.com Founder buys property in Mumbai for ₹41 crore

Toppr.com Founder Zishaan Hayath has reportedly bought a 4,000 sq ft sea-facing apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, for ₹41 crore. Toppr.com was acquired by BYJU's last year. As per a report, the apartment is located on the 13th floor of the Rustomjee La Fontaine on Turner Road. While the building has 15 floors, only eight of them are habitable.

Mukesh Gandhi buys luxerious duplex for over Rs 50-crore in Mumbai’s Khar

Mukesh Gandhi, former director of stock brokerage firm Angel Broking, has bought a luxury duplex apartment in Khar locality of Mumbai for over ₹50 crore from S Raheja Realty, said persons familiar with the development.

Gandhi continues to be a key shareholder of Angel One, the listed company of holding nearly 6% stake in the company. The deal values the apartment spread over 5,555 sq ft at over ₹90,000 per sq ft.

The apartment is on the top floors of luxury project Newlight, which is a 16-storey development comprising two residential towers of 12 storey, each built on 4 levels podium parking and lifestyle amenities. The total development area of the project is around 200,000 sq ft.

As part of the transaction, the buyer will get access to 10 car parking lots in the building. The deal was concluded and registered on July 14 and the buyer has paid stamp duty of around ₹2.5 crore for the same.

Gandhi is an addition to the list of several personalities related to stock market operations, including Radhakishan Damani and who have bought luxury properties in the last few months.

Radhakishan Damani

Among these direct deals, Damani, a billionaire investor and founder of D-Mart, bought a bungalow in South Mumbai’s plush Malabar Hill locality for ₹1,001 crore last year. Damani bought the property along with his younger brother Gopikishan Damani. This was the third large property transaction undertaken by Damani in early 2021.

Jiten Doshi

Enam Asset Management Company’s (Enam AMC) cofounder, Jiten Doshi, also bought two luxury duplex apartments in a marquee project on South Mumbai’s Peddar Road by paying ₹1.67 lakh per sq ft, totalling ₹61 crore last year.

The transaction for these apartments, spread over a total 3,657 sq ft, ranks among the most expensive residential property deals in the country on a per sq ft basis.

Raamdeo Agarwal

Stock market investor, co-founder and Chairman of Motilal Oswal Group Raamdeo Agarwal’s family also bought a sea-facing luxury duplex apartment at Samudra Mahal in Mumbai’s plush locality of Worli for ₹46.29 crore.

Integrated financial services group

has also bought two sea-view luxury apartments on Little Gibbs Road of South Mumbai’s plush Malabar Hill locality in separate transactions for ₹60 crore. Both the deals were among the most expensive residential transactions in the country as it valued the total 5,000 sq ft area of these apartments at ₹1.20 lakh per sq ft.
