Pune Registrar Office Introduces Doorstep Will Registration For Senior Citizens Under SAIRAM Initiative

Pune — In a major step towards citizen-friendly governance, the Pune Registration and Stamp Duty office has launched a doorstep registration service for senior citizens. The initiative, introduced under the Maharashtra government’s 100-day administrative reform programme, is part of the ‘Respect’ component of the SAIRAM initiative — Sensitivity, Accessibility, Identity, Respect, Accountability, and Mindfulness. Doorstep Will Registration for Senior Citizens. The service enables elderly individuals to legally prepare and register their wills from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need to visit government offices — often a challenge for many due to age-related health and mobility issues.  Speaking to the District Registrar, Pune this service is designed to prioritise the needs of senior citizens.
